With grains and cereal prices increasing as a reaction to countries building stocks, wholesale market prices of agricultural commodities started to maintain higher price levels in Turkey than the ones of the Turkish Grain Board announced. High commodity prices have pressured the domestic inflation rates and the Turkish government has taken a decision to remove all import tariffs on wheat, oats, rye, barley, and corn imports.
The current regulation is put into effect as of today and aims at easing the pressure on food items inflation.
