Turkish apple exports to make headway in Russian market

Apple is a strong export product for Turkish fresh produce exporters and apple growers especially from the Isparta region export their high-quality apples to India and Russia.

Russia mainly imports apples from Moldova, Serbia, and Azerbaijan with Turkey coming after these countries for Russian importers for sourcing apples. However, the apple export season is coming to an end now in Azerbaijan and Moldova, so the Turkish exporters expect a hike in demand from Russia for Turkish apples. The Russian importers specifically request apples with "Smartfresh" applied to ensure longer shelf life and quality.
