Turkish chicken egg producers are experiencing skyrocketing input costs including fuel, electricity, and feed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ukraine-Russia conflict, and high levels of inflation in Turkey. The situation was so severe that chicken egg producers were selling and exporting at a loss. Producers have updated and increased their domestic and export prices to reflect the increase in production costs. CIF Jebel Ali export prices are as follows: Small sizes increased from USD 23-24/carton to USD 26-27/carton while medium sizes increased from USD 25-26/carton to USD 30-31/carton.
