80K MT of Fresh Strawberries Is Expected for the 2023 Season Harvest in Silifke, Turkey

In the Silifke district of Turkiye, which is Mersin's strawberry production centre, strawberries were exported to more than 20 countries in the 2023 season, especially the Middle East, Turkic Republics, and Russia. While 80,000MT of product harvest is expected from 2,000 hectares of land in this season, it has been reported that the export price is slightly higher than last season, trading above USD 1.2/kg EXW.
