Turkish potato exports from Nigde start with the removal of the export permission requirement

With the new potato harvest underway, the potato farmers have been lobbying for the removal of the export permission requirement.
As a result, the permission requirement is lifted and potato exports from Nigde, Turkey has already started. 3.5 kmt of potatoes were exported from the city to Georgia, the United Arab Emirates, and Syria.
The expected production yield of the summer potato harvest from the city is around 90 kmt and the farmers expect to export around 20 kmt of the production. Currently, the farmgate price is around 0.06 USD per kg in the city.
