Turkiye is the world's largest dried fruit exporter, reaching 2,022K MT in 2022 with an export performance of USD 1.573B. Turkiye's seedless raisin production increased from 120K MT to 300-350K MT in the last 30 years. By exporting 254K MT of raisins in 2022, USD 431M of foreign currency was earned. Turkiye is responsible for 54% of the world production of dried apricots, earning USD 402M of foreign currency from exports in 2022. Dried fig production reached 100K MT, with an export income of USD 246M obtained from its exports in 2022.

Although countries such as Germany and England are not producers, they consume more dried fruit than Turkiye does. An emerging trend is the consumption of organic products which is increasing rapidly. Resultantly, interest in organic agriculture is constantly increasing in Turkiye.
