Turkish Salmon Exports Soar, Bringing In USD 289.2 Million in First 9 Months of 2023

During the opening nine months of 2023, Turkey experienced a foreign exchange inflow of USD 289.2 million, equivalent to 43,600 metric tons (mt), stemming from salmon (Oncorhynchus Mykiss) exports to 41 countries. Russia emerged as the top recipient of Turkish Salmon exports, contributing a significant USD 178 million to this thriving industry. This accomplishment is part of Turkey's remarkable seafood export growth over the last five years, showcasing its emergence as a prominent player in the global seafood trade.
