Higher production of Turmeric crop expected in the upcoming year

As per exporters, 2021's Turmeric sowing area reached 19,376 hectares, recording a slight decrease compared to last year's 20,942 hectares (19,551 hectares on average). The quality of the turmeric standing crop was good as of now, as weather has been favorable in growing regions. Due to the crops being healthy and on-time rains, farmers are getting higher yields. As a result, the higher production in the coming year will put a cap on higher prices.
