Vietnamese Pepper Exports Increased by 16.6% YoY in Volume During 2023

Preliminary statistics from the Vietnamese General Department of Customs reveal that in 2023, Vietnam exported 267 thousand tons of pepper valued at USD 912 million. This represents a 16.6% year-over-year (YoY) increase in volume but a 6% YoY decrease in value. The United States (US) is the largest market for Vietnamese pepper, accounting for 23.5% of the total export value. China is the second-largest market with 14.1%, other significant markets include India with a 5.4% market share and Germany with a 4.3% market share.
