Updates on Brazilian apple market

Brazil has an export window for apples and has been favored by exchange rates since January. The state of Santa Catarina registered an increase of 112% in value this year, reaching USD 23.21 million and a volume of 30.20 thousand tons. The state of Rio Grande do Sul, in turn, had a participation of more than 90% in the Brazilian export of apple. India, Bangladesh and Russia were the main buyers and the main varieties are the Gala apple and the Fuji apple. In the domestic market, there was a retraction in demand and price devaluation.
