US peach and nectarine growers expecting strong harvest over weekend

California peach and nectarine packers are expecting the harvest to pick up over the weekend after this week's cool spell passes across the Central Valley. As the weather warms up, prices are expected to continue to fall through June and July. Currently, the demand is quite high domestically, particularly on white peaches and black plums.
