Forecasting Growth of Vietnamese Seafood Exports to Germany in 2024

The Ministry of Industry and Trade reported that in 2023, Vietnam ranked as Germany's 6th largest seafood supplier, with exports totalling USD 187 million. This marked a 31.5% year-over-year (YoY) decrease. Germany's primary imports from Vietnam include frozen shrimp, frozen smooth-skin fish fillets, and processed shrimp without closed packaging. Forecasts indicate increased seafood demand in Germany for 2024, presenting opportunities for Vietnamese enterprises to penetrate this promising market further.
