Vietnam Forecasts Increased Pangasius Exports Starting Q3-24

Based on favorable market indicators and a stable supply of raw pangasius, the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) anticipates a rise in pangasius exports starting from Q3-24. This uptick is expected to coincide with a minimum price adjustment of 10% compared to current levels. Frozen fillet products dominate pangasius exports, constituting 80% of the total export volume. Meanwhile, the export turnover for value-added pangasius in Q1-24 reached USD 9 million, marking a 16% YoY increase and accounting for 2% of the total share.
