According to the Department of Agricultural Product Processing and Market Development, the total volume and value of cashew import in the first six-month of 2020 was 602 thousand tons and 799 million USD, which decreased 15.3% in volume, and 22.3% in value compared to the same period in 2019. Cambodia, Tanzania, Cote D'Ivoire are three main markets supplying cashew nuts for Vietnam. In the first 5 months of 2020, cashew imported from the Tanzania market increased sharply with a 176-time increase over the same period in 2019. Meanwhile, the markets of Cambodia and Cote D'Ivoire showed a decrease in exports cashew nuts to Vietnam, which is 13.7% and 57.4% respectively.
