Vietnam ranks third in the world in cassava exports

Vietnam is the world's third largest exporter of cassava and cassava products in terms of output, after Thailand and Cambodia, and second in export turnover after Thailand. According to the General Department of Customs, in 2021, cassava exports will reach nearly 2.9 mt, worth nearly USD 1.2 billion, up 2.4% in volume and 16.5% in value compared to 2020. However, the export markets of cassava and cassava products are still limited, mainly to the Chinese market, accounting for over 95% of the total output of cassava and cassava products.
