Vietnam’s Fruit and Vegetable Exports Surged by 28% Yoy From Jan-24 to Jun-24

According to the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association (VINAFRUIT), durian, dragon fruit, bananas, and longan are significant contributors to the growth of fruit and vegetable exports. In the first half of 2024, Vietnam's fruit and vegetable exports are estimated to have reached USD 3.4 billion, marking a 28% year-over-year (YoY) increase. China, Thailand, and South Korea remain major markets, with imports increasing by 30 to 60% compared to the same period in 2023 as of the end of May-24. Among these, China spent USD 1.7 billion, Thailand spent USD 74.5 million, and South Korea spent USD 136 million on Vietnamese fruits and vegetables.
