Warm weather limiting US Valencia orange season

Warm spring weather in California has sped up the Valencia orange harvest in the state. Some packers are reporting that they will have a shorter season than usual due to the weather and will store fruit until contracts are made. Packers often use gassing to keep Valencia at the optimal color before shipments while being stored.
