Carrots from Western Australia have limited stock in October 2022 due to reduced harvest volumes, with around a 30% loss during pack-out. The carrot harvest was affected by weather conditions and a fertilizer that caused some quality issues. These issues have delayed the harvesting causing larger carrot sizes, which are mainly used for the domestic market. A new harvest will begin in W45, but in W43, the FOB price stood at USD 0.64-0.83/kg (AUD 1.00-1.30/kg).
