Wheat exports decline by 57% while barley is on the rise in Bulgaria

Bulgarian wheat exports mark a historical decline of 56.9% on a yearly basis driven by grain producers' expectations for better prices. In the period of 29.06/01.11.2020 wheat exports are at 402,5 KMT while the same period last year has seen 933 KMT of wheat exports.

While wheat exporters are expecting more favorable prices for exports, barley exports have increased by almost 78% in the same period. Last year the export barley in the same period was at 37 KMT while this year's export volumes exceeded 65,7 KMT from the port of Varna.
