The 2022 Swedish wheat harvest has been good with some deviations depending on geographical location around Sweden. A rise of about 5% in harvest volume is predicted by several major Swedish market players. Sweden consumes and utilises roughly 50% of its annual wheat production. Wheat prices have largely stabilised in the Nordic countries following the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine war at the start of 2022. After a sharp rise in March, prices have come back down to 15-18% above pre-war levels.
