The global demand for wheat is rising amid shortages caused by last year's droughts in the Black Sea countries. There are also protective measures taken by some countries such as Russia to control wheat exports. All these factors cause the wheat prices to go upwards and since early January 2021, wheat flour prices have increased in Turkey affected directly by wheat prices in Russia, Ukraine and Romania.
