Wheat Imports to Decline in 2020/21

South Africa is a net importer of wheat but the country expects a decline of 14% year-on-year in wheat imports. This is largely due to favorable weather conditions.

The South African Crop Estimate Committee believes that the 2020/21 wheat crop will be the largest harvest in the last 10 years.
