Common wheat production looks optimistic this year in Greece with estimated volumes of 340 KMT which is an increase of almost 42% compared to last year's 240 KMT. As for the durum wheat, the production yield looks good as well with an estimation of 760 KMT which represents an increase of 15% compared to last year (660 KMT). While Greece's wheat estimations are optimistic the production output on the EU level is in decline. Along with the production output the wheat consumption is expected to decline due to reduced production in bakeries and food industry as a result of the global pandemic.
