White Cardamom or Javanese Cardamom (Amomum compactum Soland ex Maton) is native plant in Indonesia, which is used as medicine and spices. The use of plants as medicine and spices relates to its compounds of secondary metabolites especially the essential oil. In Indonesia, cardamom cultivation is spread across 20 provinces in Indonesia, the widest is in West Java with 27 million square meters with a production of 62,923,519/kg (62,923 tons). The export value in 2020 is USD 64 million, 79% to China and 17% to Vietnam.
