Wholesale Price for SA Mandarins Recovers in the UAE

UAE importers have lost money on South African mandarins due to low wholesale prices. Earlier in the season merchants lost an average of 30-35% against the cost of the fruit due to low demand causing low prices. In the past weeks, the prices of South African mandarins in the UAE increased, helping merchants recover from the losses. In W40, the wholesale price of South African mandarins in the UAE reached USD 17 per 10kg box. If this price remains, importers who hold stock will make high profits on their sales.
