Wholesale Price of Dried Sardines is Higher by 10% in W6 Compared to December 2022 in Japan

In early February 2023, the central wholesale price of dried young sardines was USD 30.26/kg (JPY 4K/kg), which is USD 3.82 (JPY 500) (10%) more than in late December 2022. Although most of the dried sardines have poor quality, the price remains high due to the limited supply. Oita, Ehime, Kochi, and Tokushima are the catch production regions in Japan.
