The supply chain of ginger in India starts from the farm to the factory and finally to the export company or trading company. There are middlemen involved in the supply chain however, they do not play a big role when it comes to exports. Some exporters have their own processing and packing facilities.

There are several cultivars of ginger harvested in India but the prominent ones are Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Karnataka. Some exporters have their own processing and packing facilities.
