What Are the Usual Payment Terms?

There are different payment terms used depending on the type of market player one is working with.

Common payment terms:


Payment from Middlemen to Fishermen: Payment is given every time fishermen go to the sea.

Payment from Processor/Exporter to Middlemen: They form a 1-year contract and the payment is given when the middlemen deliver to the factory. 

Payment from importer to factory/exporter: 100% LC on-site or T/T 30-70. 


Mostly, exports to Korea are done on CIF/CFR terms.
