The harvesting season of sugarcane in India is 10 to 18 months long. The duration depends on planting time and crop maturity.

In India, harvesting of sugarcane is carried out at the 10 to 18 months stage, depending upon the planting time and crop maturity. In sub-tropics, the autumn crop is harvested at the 15-month stage, whereas spring and summer (late-planted) crop at 10-12 months. Early varieties are harvested at 10 months stage, mid-late 10-12 months, and late after the 12-month stage. In the tropical zone, Adsali crops are harvested after the 16-18 months stage.
