Altai Krai leads in the consumption of bakery products among the regions of the Siberian Federal District.

According to recently published data from Rosstat, the consumption of bakery products (the category includes pasta converted to flour, flour, cereals, and legumes) in the Altai Krai in 2024 amounted to 146 kg per capita. This corresponds to the level of 2023 and is 0.7% higher than in 2022 (145 kg). Additionally, the indicator was 23.7% higher than the average for the Siberian Federal District (118 kg) and 29.2% higher than the all-Russian level (113 kg). According to this indicator, the region ranks first in the Siberian Federal District, ahead of the republics of Tuva (126 kg) and Khakassia (125 kg). The residents of Irkutsk (104 kg) and Kemerovo (107 kg) regions consumed the least bakery products.
