REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman asserted that the national food production condition remains stable despite flooding in several regions of Sumatra. He conveyed that disaster management is being carried out simultaneously with the delivery of food aid to meet the needs of the affected communities. Amran explained that food aid has been rolled out to Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra through collaboration between Bulog, the National Food Agency (Bapanas), the Food Task Force, and support from the TNI-Polri. He assured that the availability of food reserves remains very sufficient at both national and regional levels. “Oh, no problem. It’s small.
