The Brazilian government has concluded sanitary and phytosanitary negotiations that allow for the expansion of agribusiness exports to the Philippines, Guatemala, and Nicaragua. The authorizations involve different products and reinforce Brazil's strategy to diversify destinations and expand the export portfolio. The sanitary authorities of the Philippines approved the entry of Brazilian bovine fat, an input used by the food industry and also in the production of biofuels, such as green diesel and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), low-carbon aviation fuels. With around 115 million inhabitants, the Philippines is one of the main consumer markets in Southeast Asia. From January to October 2025, the country imported almost US$ 1.5 billion in Brazilian agribusiness products. In Guatemala, Brazil received authorization to export processed rice (without husk).
