Canary Islands announces aid for table potato producers

The Official Bulletin of the Canary Islands (BOC) published on November 26th the Order by which the 2026 campaign is called for Subaction I.4.1 "Aid per surface area," of Action I.4 "Aid for producers of table potatoes." This aid is part of the Community Program for Support of Agricultural Production in the Canary Islands. The objective of this action is to increase the percentage of self-sufficiency, encourage production planning to suit the market, concentrate supply, support the incorporation of young farmers, and prevent risks through Agricultural Insurance. Producers who have cultivated areas of table potatoes from early, mid-season, and late harvests can be beneficiaries of these aids. Those producers who are also members of a Fruit and Vegetable Producers' Organization (OPFH) or a Group of Potato Producers for consumption not intended for the starch industry, recognized by the Vice-Consejería of the Primary Sector, can opt for the surface area supplement.
