The European Union, along with the Secretariat for Central American Economic Integration (SIECA) and the Center for the Promotion of Imports from Developing Countries (CBI), have been working together since 2018 to boost economic integration in Central America. The initiative has seen significant success, with companies like Agrícola Antar from Honduras and Panafruit from Panama experiencing substantial growth. Agrícola Antar, which previously had no sales in Europe, now sells 40% of its okra to the European market. Panafruit, a Panamanian papaya producer, has benefited from the technical assistance and training provided, expanding its sales and becoming a leading example of the project's achievements.
