[Korean Farmers and Fishermen Newspaper, Reporter Young-jin Choi] The Central Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives has stepped up efforts to increase the proportion of seafood in military rations. The Federation visited the Army Logistics School in Daejeon on the 2nd and announced that the number of seafood cooking education sessions for military rations this year, which was 14, will be expanded to 26 next year. Along with this, various support measures will be implemented to improve the preference for and consumption of seafood among military personnel. Additionally, to encourage the soldiers who are working hard for the defense of the country, a donation of 10 million won along with popular seafood items for soldier rations, such as seasoned abalone and sea cucumber products, was made. This visit follows the mutual cooperation business agreement between the two organizations in 2017.
