The cultivation of sunflower is regaining ground within Paraguayan agriculture and has become an alternative rotation and security option for the producer at harvest time, affirmed in Nación Productiva Agricultural Engineer Constantino Bellenzier, Marketing Manager of UPL Paraguay. He emphasized that the company has been working with two hybrids that have a high oil content, which are recognized by the buyers with a bonus, and are decumbent, a characteristic that causes the flower to turn downwards to protect itself from climatic damage and birds. He added that they are working to register 10 more materials for the country.
