The biggest challenge of Brazilian pastures is the competition with weeds, which steal water, nutrients, and space from the grass, potentially halving the stocking rate of farms. With this in mind, Sumitomo Chemical has launched Tempest E, a new technological solution that promises to eliminate difficult-to-control invaders, ensuring clean and vigorous pasture. In an interview with Giro do Boi, agricultural engineer Paulo Pimentel, director of the pasture segment at Sumitomo Chemical, explained that Tempest E is an exclusive formulation that provides high-performance control, achieving up to 90% control of challenging plants.
