The cost of producing wheat in the agricultural farms of the Rostov region in the current agricultural season turned out to be higher than the level of purchase prices for it. RBC Rostov reported this statement by Anatoly Kolchik, the director of the grain union of agricultural producers in the region (ZCS RO). "The worst situation is in the southern and Azov Sea areas, which suffered from drought and where little wheat was collected. The situation is more favorable in the north-western and eastern areas, but for the overwhelming majority of agricultural producers in the region, the cost of wheat this year is higher than the purchase prices," he noted.
