[Korean Farmers' Newspaper, Reporter U Jeong-soo] An opinion was presented that to ensure stable production of high-quality peaches, it is necessary to more thoroughly prevent the increasing occurrence of diseases and pests in orchards, including the prompt removal of infected fruits left in the orchards, due to the impact of climate change. Experts also voiced that since the same diseases and pests can have different characteristics depending on the region, prevention methods should be applied after accurately identifying the specific characteristics of the diseases and pests in the respective regions. The Peach Research Association held a meeting on October 29 at the Cheongdo National Sports Center in Cheongdo County, Gyeongbuk Province, with the participation of around 600 members from the association's farms, peach farmers from across the nation, and officials from related organizations.
