A targeted package of measures for livestock farmers affected by sheep and goat pox in Greece comes into effect. The total amount of support amounts to 56 million euros and is financed from the state budget. The aim is to provide immediate assistance to farms that have faced serious livestock losses, as well as increased feed costs due to the emergency circumstances, reports the Ministry of Rural Development and Food of our southern neighbor. The funds will be distributed in two main directions. 28.5 million euros are allocated for compensation for loss of income for culled animals.
