Harvest of sunflower and corn in figures

At the end of October, nearly 99% of the sunflower fields were harvested, according to the operational analysis data for Polish crops from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food (MAF). The figures indicate that despite expectations of a poor year, the yields of oil sunflowers exceed, albeit slightly, the harvest from last year. The main reason for this is the larger areas under cultivation that are occupied by sunflowers. The production this year, obtained from the harvested areas, currently amounts to 1,471,760 tons, which is 2.7% more.
