[Agricultural, Fisheries and Livestock Newspaper=Reporter Park Yu-sin] An event where media journalists directly evaluate high-quality rice of representative varieties from different regions in our country has garnered attention. The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs held a '2025 Consumer Preference High-Quality Rice Variety Tasting Event and Symposium' last month on the 27th at Cafe Siseon 293, located in Geumnam-myeon, Sejong City, with the participation of officials from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation, and agricultural, fisheries and livestock food journalists. The event, organized to share the excellence and diversity of high-quality rice of representative varieties from different regions in our country and the new direction of rice consumption culture, included explanations of major rice varieties and a blind taste test of a total of 18 rice varieties.
