Jeonnam Province announced that it will expand its residential stability support project to ensure stable living conditions for foreign seasonal workers and to alleviate labor shortages during the busy farming season. Jeonnam Province is supporting the construction and renovation of 15 facilities for foreign seasonal workers' accommodations until this year. So far, it has constructed and is operating four facilities (in Damyang, Haenam, Yeongam, and Muan) through the initial proposal to the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs in 2022 for the "Agricultural Workers' Dormitory Construction Project," and has supported 11 facilities through its own provincial project. Additionally, as Jindo County (with an investment of 3.5 billion won) was selected to participate in the national budget project of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs in 2026, plans are in place to further expand the dormitories.
