Poland has seen a 27th outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) this year, marking a return of the disease after a month and a half, with the latest outbreak confirmed on a commercial duck farm in Pierwoszów, Lower Silesia, leading to the loss of 60,440 ducks and bringing the total number of affected poultry to 641,764. The outbreak was caused by the H5N1 strain.
