New star in the Trichoderma family: Trichoderma yunnanense fungicide registration application in Brazil

Two companies have submitted registration applications for such products. Total Biotecnologia has submitted two registration applications, with the product names possibly adjusted later, tentatively named DEF-MIC-052-23A and DEF-MIC-052-23A-1. Ihara has applied to register its "Kouken" brand pesticide, which contains the Trichoderma yunnanense IHA02 strain. It is understood that Trichoderma yunnanense is one of the most promising species in the Trichoderma genus for plant protection applications. Trichoderma filamentous fungi are widely recognized for their antagonistic capabilities and plant growth-promoting properties. Morphologically, Trichoderma yunnanense has septate hyphae composed of transparent mycelium, grows rapidly, and can colonize various substrates.
