Domestic agricultural processed foods made by the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation will be served on Korean Air flights.

On October 30, the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Hanjin and Korean Air C&D Services at the headquarters of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation in Seoul's Jung-gu district to "activate the consumption of domestic agricultural products." The main content of the agreement is to provide processed foods from the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation as in-flight meals and duty-free items. Korean Air C&D Services supplies in-flight meals and duty-free items to Korean Air and over 20 other airlines operating domestically.

The signing ceremony was attended by Park Seo-hong, the agricultural economy representative of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation, Hanjin's President Cho Hyun-min, President Noh Sam-seok, and President Choi Deok-jin of Korean Air C&D Services. Through the agreement, the three companies plan to collaborate on selecting high-quality agricultural processed foods, supplying in-flight meals, conducting research and development (R&D) for launching in-flight exclusive products, and reducing logistics costs through cooperation. The National Agricultural Cooperative Federation expects that the agreement will serve as an opportunity to introduce the excellence of domestic agricultural processed foods to the world, as interest in K-food (Korean food) is increasing globally.

President Cho said in his speech, "I hope that the highest quality agricultural processed products representing the Republic of Korea will be included in the in-flight meals representing the Republic of Korea and win the palates of people around the world." President Choi stated, "We will do our best to provide consumers with trust and farmers with real benefits by allowing them to taste products produced by farmers and made by the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation on board."

President Park emphasized, "It is significant that we can inform domestic and foreign tourists about the excellence of our rice and agricultural products. In the future, we will also create various agricultural product distribution channels to contribute to increasing farmers' income."
