(Agraria.pe) The Multi-Purpose Port Terminal of Chancay (TPM), inaugurated a year ago, continues to strengthen its role as a key point for Peruvian foreign trade. Between January and September of 2025, 62% of the agro-exports sent from Peru to China were moved through this infrastructure, marking a milestone in logistics efficiency and competitiveness for the agro-export sector. Since the start of its operations, in November 2024, the TPM has recorded exports worth US$ 477 million, of which US$ 446 million correspond only to the period January–September 2025. China has consolidated itself as the main destination for exports moved from Chancay, concentrating 78% of the total, followed by Mexico and Ecuador. 69% of the shipments through Chancay came from regions in the interior of the country, mainly La Libertad (44%), Lambayeque (8%) and Ica (7%).
