Rain and tornadoes affect 270 thousand hectares of soybeans in Paraná

According to the Agricultural Economic Bulletin released this Thursday (13) by the Department of Rural Economy (Deral), from the State Secretariat of Agriculture and Supply (Seab), the adverse weather conditions between November 1 and 10 caused losses to soybean yields in Paraná. According to Deral, the main summer crop was most impacted by hailstorms, gales, flash floods, and, to a lesser extent, by the extratropical cyclone that caused the formation of three tornadoes. "It is estimated that approximately 270 thousand hectares suffered some type of damage," informed the department's analysts.
