Sancheong Gojongsi, selected as the representative fruit of the Republic of Korea for the 10th consecutive year.

[Korea Farmers' News Agency Reporter Gu Ja-ryong] The raw material for 'Jirisan Sancheong Gogyang', 'Sancheong Gojongsi (sour plum)', has been selected as the representative fruit of the Republic of Korea for the 10th consecutive year, proving its top quality nationwide. Sancheong County announced that at the '2025 Republic of Korea Representative Fruit Selection Contest' held on November 27 at the Daejeon Convention Center, organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and hosted by the Rural Development Administration and the Korea Forest Service, Gojongsi submitted by Mr. Park Il-sang from Sinjung-myeon and Mr. Moon Pil-seon from Sicheon-myeon received the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Award (Grand Prize) and the Korea Forest Service Chief Award (Excellence Award), respectively. Sancheong Gojongsi received favorable reviews in orchard inspection, measurement inspection, and appearance inspection, achieving the Grand Prize for the 10th consecutive year since 2016.
