Core tip: Recently, the 18th Fruit and Vegetable Processing Technology and Industry Innovation Symposium, themed "Green Integration: Building a New Ecology for the High-Quality Development of the Fruit and Vegetable Processing Industry," was successfully held in Xi'an, Shaanxi. The conference was jointly hosted by the Fruit and Vegetable Processing Technology Branch of the China Association of Food Science and Technology, Northwest Normal University, and the Shaanxi Food Science and Technology Association. Nearly 400 experts, scholars, and industry representatives from renowned universities, research institutes, and enterprises across the country gathered to discuss the new challenges and opportunities facing China's fruit and vegetable processing industry, pooling innovative ideas and wisdom for industrial transformation, upgrading, and high-quality development, marking another significant practice in promoting the green and integrated development of the fruit and vegetable industry.
